A Call to Lead.

We are looking for a very particular type of student.

We are searching for leaders who aspire to Live the Adventure. Living the adventure is defined by the following.

  • Refuse passive living.
  • Challenge your motives, habits, and surroundings.
  • Pursue positive change.

To be an effective GO CO leader, you must first begin to live the adventure yourself. Your potential responsibility as a GO CO leader is to create an atmosphere to inspire men and women to do the same.

Initially this atmosphere will consist of GO CO sponsored road trip adventures. In other words, you will lead your peers on unforgettable weekend adventure challenges of your choice. Over the past few years GO CO leaders and their peers have searched for wood to make fires, constructed shelters to stay dry, trudged through waterfalls, built river rafts and carved baseball bats, played homerun derby and football, challenged themselves to cook gourmet meals over an open fire, explored deserted beaches, taken dancing lessons, hiked to distant mountain peaks, and the list goes on… To see some of their past adventures, click here.

These GO CO weekend adventures are only the beginning.

Our goal ultimately stretches beyond adventure challenges on the weekends. In addition, we challenge ourselves to refuse the passive lifestyle of conforming to the second rate values of the world in which we live. Many men and women see nothing wrong with breaking promises, making excuses for mistakes, passing off responsibility, cutting corners, and not finishing what they started. Rather then accepting these practices, we encourage one another to spend our days in college and beyond attempting to live the adventure. We hope that our lives inspire the men and women we lead on adventures to do the same. Together we stand as men and women who do not surrender to passive living. We will be known as people who keep challenging our surroundings in spite of the pressures around us. We will persist. We will help each other. We will change our world.
