Informal meeting with some of our staff members

Before any student actually applies to our Leadership Program, they must meet with one or more of our staff members. We’ll be on your campus this fall to meet with anyone interested in applying to be a GO CO leader. We strongly believe that building relationships among our leaders has been one of our biggest keys to our past success. As we grow in size, we want to be sure every future leader feels comfortable with our staff.

Application process

We are looking for a very specific type of college student in Connecticut. The ideal applicant is a leader with an adventurous spirit who thrives on challenge and is interested in leadership growth.

The GO CO is focusing specifically on three universities in Connecticut for the coming spring semester. The GO CO will accept four students from each of these campuses who illustrate these above qualities.

After the informal meeting with a member of our staff, interested potential leaders will be given an application to be completed by November 30 of this fall. Application results will be posted when you return to campus after winter break.

Covering the costs of training

Being a nonprofit organization, The GO Company relies on donations to cover a majority of our costs. However, each student accepted to participate in the above ten-week leadership training will pay a program fee. On acceptance into our program, students will pay $50 to cover the cost of the Leadership Seminar. Over the next four months, students will pay $100 each month to cover the cost of their food, lodging, and travel for each of the fall semester adventures. This fee also pays for the price of leadership materials, adventure equipment, and other administrative costs.

Financial aid

With that said, a perfectly qualified leader will not be turned away for financial reasons. Financial aid will be made available to any qualified student who proves unable to cover this program fee.
